Portuguese fest to showcase Iran’s ‘I’m a Tree’

Iran’s ‘I’m a Tree’ is to attend the Heritales-Int’l Heritage filmfest in Portugal.

The Heritales-International Heritage Film Festival in Portugal has scheduled to screen Iranian short title ‘I’m a Tree’.

Directed by Omid Seifi, the short title will be in competition at the Animations section of the 4th edition of the Portuguese event.

‘I’m a Tree’, which is an environmental flick, is set in a classroom where a little boy draws a tree on the board.

The Bully of his class does not like his drawing so he erases it. The little boy sketches the same tree on the board and the bully erases it again.

Then all the boys in the class go to the board and draw trees. This time the tough guy of the class surrenders and he draws a tree too.

Ali Saemian and Masoud Erfani are the two main cast members of the short title.

Established in 2016, the Heritales-International Heritage Film Festival aims to show the anthropological knowledge of different cultures. It shows ways of life and rituals that form a culture.

The upcoming edition of the event is slated for September 24-27, 2020.
